- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 cup shrimp (peeled)
- 8 slices French stick (or 4 slices of bread cut in 2)
- 1 onion (grated)
- 4 tablespoons white seasame seeds
- 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
- 2 teaspoons garlic (crushed)
- corn flour (for dusting)
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Place the sesame seeds in a medium-heated pan and brown, being careful not to burn.
- Combine the shrimp, garlic, ginger, grated onion, egg, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and mix together. The mixture should remain firm and fairly dry; if it becomes too wet, add a little dusting of corn flour.
- Press 2 spoons of the mixture onto each piece of bread, covering the entire top surface.
- Refrigerate the bread for 2 hours in an airtight container to contain the odor.
