Thai Fish Patties

    Ingredients

    • 300 gram thick white fish fillets
    • 1 large shallot
    • 1 green chili (seeds removed)
    • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
    • 3 green beans (sliced paper thin)
    • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • salt and pepper (to taste)

    Instructions

    1. Cut the fish into cubes and place in a food processor along with the shallot, chili, fish sauce, salt, and pepper.
    2. Process the mixture into a paste, adding just enough cold water to make it smooth and creamy.
    3. Stir in the sliced green beans.
    4. Drop tablespoons of the mixture into hot shallow oil and fry on both sides until golden brown.
    5. Serve with hot peanut sauce and cucumber.
