Kay Patkhin Chicken

    Ingredients

    • 750 gram boneless, skinless chicken meat
    • 1 tablespoon oil
    • 2 pinch salt
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 3 teaspoons ginger (minced)
    • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced)
    • 1 medium onion (chopped)
    • coriander (chopped for garnish)

    Instructions

    1. Heat a saucepan and add a splash of oil.
    2. Rub the salt into the chicken meat.
    3. Add the ginger, garlic, and onion to the hot oil and cook until browned, then remove from the saucepan.
    4. Fry the chicken in small batches until browned.
    5. Drain off any excess oil and gradually add the water to the saucepan
    6. Return the onion mixture to the pan.
    7. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
    8. Serve with chopped coriander on top.
