Gochujang & Doenjang Minced Beef Stir-Fry

Gochujang & Doenjang Minced Beef Stir-Fry

Looking for a hearty Korean-style dish that’s packed with bold, savoury flavour and comes together quickly? This Gochujang & Doenjang Minced Beef Stir-Fry is the perfect answer. It’s a weeknight-friendly recipe that doesn’t skimp on flavour—rich, spicy, and satisfying, with a beautifully balanced sauce that coats every bite of tender beef and vegetables.

At the heart of the dish are two iconic Korean condiments: gochujang, a spicy-sweet fermented chilli paste, and doenjang, a deeply umami-rich fermented soybean paste. Together, they create a punchy base that clings to the beef and infuses the mushrooms, onion, red capsicum, and peas with mouthwatering depth. The combination of textures—from the juicy minced beef to the crisp capsicum and soft mushrooms—makes every mouthful interesting and moreish.

This stir-fry is delicious served over steamed rice, noodles, or even in a lettuce wrap for a lighter take. It’s also incredibly versatile—turn up the heat with extra gochujang, or mellow things out with a touch more sweetness. Whether you’re after a cosy dinner or a flavoursome side for a Korean-inspired feast, this dish delivers a big impact with minimal effort.
