Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons Red Miso Paste (Akamiso)
- 10 - 13 Somen noodles (approx. 1/3 of a bundle)
- Square piece of tofu (cut into small squares)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried cut Wakame (seaweed)
- 1/2 teaspoon Dashi powder (bonito flavouring)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring some water to a boil.
- Add Wakame and boil until the seaweed turns into small squares.
- Drain the water and rinse with cold tap water.
- Add 1/2 cup of water to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Once the water begins to boil, add Somen noodles (or tofu) and cook for approximately 2 minutes
- Pour in the miso paste and add Dashi powder.
- Stir well over low heat for approximately 1-2 minutes.
- Serve immediately.
