    Ingredients

    • 1kg beef stewing steak
    • 2 cups potatoes (cubed)
    • 3 red peppers (ground)
    • 1/2 cup lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon turmeric
    • 1 tablespoon paprika
    • 1 onion (sliced into rings)
    • 2 teaspoons garlic (minced)
    • 3 cup water
    • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil

    Garnish

    • cucumber (sliced)
    • capsicum (sliced)
    • carrot (sliced)

    Instructions

    1. Mix the peppers, lemon juice, turmeric, paprika, garlic, and shrimp paste together.
    2. Bring the water to a boil and add the spice mixture. Simmer.
    3. In a wok, heat the oil and brown the stewing steak in small batches. Once browned, add the meat to the water along with the potatoes.
    4. Simmer for about 30 minutes until the meat and potatoes are tender and the water has evaporated. Stir gently to avoid crushing the potatoes.
