    1. Heat a wok and add a little oil. Add the red chili slices, shrimp paste, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and lime juice. Bring to a boil, being careful not to burn. Add the coconut milk and mix well, simmering but not bringing to a full boil
    2. Cool the mixture and transfer it to a large bowl. Add the beef cubes, cover, and place in the refrigerator overnight
    3. Thread the beef onto skewers. Add the vegetable and sesame oil mixture to the remaining sauce in the bowl
    4. Place the skewers on a hot BBQ, preferably over charcoal, or cook in a pan on the stove. Brush with the sauce mixture and cook until golden brown
    5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds to garnish and serve with a dipping sauce
