Ingredients
The Dough
- 2 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup yoghurt
The Filling
- 1 dash vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup vegetable stock
- 2 potatoes (boiled and crushed)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 1/2 tablespoon ginger (freshly grated)
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups green peas
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- cayenne (to taste)
Instructions
The Dough
- Put flour and salt in a food processor with a dough blade. Mix.
- Add yogurt and mix until it becomes a soft ball.
- Remove the dough and knead for about one minute. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour
The Filling
- In a pan, add a little oil then add the ginger, garlic, coriander, and garam masala.
- Slowly mix in the crushed potato and peas with a little stock and the remaining ingredients.
- Mix well and set aside to cool.
Assembly and Baking
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (430 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Remove dough from refrigerator and separate into 12 small balls. On a floured surface, flatten with a rolling pin to make pancake-shaped dough.
- Take a spoonful of the filling and add to one side of the dough, then fold over and seal edges with a wet fork.
- Place on a greased baking tray and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with a warm dipping sauce.
