Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken Breast Fillets
- 3 tablespoons yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
- 3/4 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 teaspoons cumin (ground)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 1/4 cups oil
- 200 ml tomato sauce
- 100 ml tomato paste
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into bite-size pieces and place in a large bowl.
- Mix together the yogurt, grated ginger, chilli powder, turmeric, ground coriander, ground cumin, lemon juice, and 2 tbsp of oil. Pour over the chicken and let marinate for 5 hours
- Grill the chicken on skewers until partially cooked
- Heat the remaining oil in a wok. Add the tomato sauce and tomato paste. When hot, lower the heat slightly and add the chicken. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until tender
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and onion. Serve with naan bread and basmati rice.
