    Ingredients

    • 500 gram chicken breast (diced)
    • 1 large onion
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar (or cooking sake)
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (or oyster sauce)
    • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 1 red capsicum (sliced and grilled)
    • 1 tablespoon seasame seeds
    • green onions (for garnish)
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (for frying)

    Instructions

    1. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar (or cooking sake), Worcestershire sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper.
    2. Add the diced chicken breast to the marinade and mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
    3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes soft and translucent.
    4. Add the marinated chicken to the pan, along with the marinade. Stir-fry the chicken until it is cooked through and slightly caramelised, about 5-7 minutes.
    5. Pour the water into the pan and stir well. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
    6. Add the grilled sliced capsicum to the pan and mix well. Check the seasoning and adjust if necessary. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot over a bed of cooked rice.
