Bring the stock to the boil with the peppercorns and add the beef and onions.

Add the lid and boil for about 20 minutes until the beef is tender.

Add the carrots and potatoes, boiling for a further 5-10 minutes.

Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for about 10 minutes before serving with rice
