Grape common name for a fruit that grows from a vine of the Vitaceae family. Its juicy character is mostly known as the major ingredient in wine and grape juice.

The grape is also used to make sultanas and raisins through a process called sun drying. While both raisins, sultanas, currents and grapes are popular eaten raw, they can add plenty of flavor to many dishes like rice for example.

One popular American recipe that includes the use of grape is called grape jelly. Sun dried grapes are often included in many desert and cake recipes.
